NEW DELHI: Video conferencing platform BlueJeans by telecoms major Verizon on Friday launched news upgrades and features for the BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams.

The list of new upgrades and features includes large event support; localized interactive voice response (IVR); 7x7 gallery view' enhanced management; improved visibility; and a simplified deployment process.

"With increased support for today's hybrid workforce, the latest updates to the BlueJeans Gateway are designed to help organizations plan back-to-office strategies with minimal IT investment, and without disrupting the workflow patterns users have grown to appreciate while working from home," said Verizon in an official statement.

The large event support will enable organizations to join Teams Live Events using their existing standards-based room system whereas the 7x7 gallery view will allow participants to see up to 49 participants simultaneously on the tele-video conferencing screen.

The localized IVR uses the location of the call to automatically serve up appropriate in-language content for Japanese, German, Italian, Spanish, and French-speaking regions and the improved visibility upgrade will present in-room attendees with notifications when meeting recording and transcription are enabled.

Additionally, the BlueJeans Gateway will support Microsoft's Together mode which will place participants together on a shared virtual background.
